COVID-19 vaccination program for elderly is intensified in Sukapura Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta. On March 1-17, as many as 639 elderly people or 25.6 percent of total elderly people in the region have participated in the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination.

Sukapura Urban Village Head, Abdul Rahman Hakim conveyed, his side uses door-to-door mechanism as an effort to accelerate vaccination. It means, his side provides transportation to facilitate elderly people to the vaccination locations.

"We go directly to them and convince them to be willingly to be vaccinated because it can improve their immune system against COVID-19. Moreover, elderly people are categorized as a group that vulnerable to COVID-19," he explained.
He conveyed that thanks to continuous socialization and education carried out by RT/RW administrators, PKK and Dasa Wisma cadres, many elderly people want to be vaccinated.
"Thank God, after giving explanation, many elderly people are willing to be vaccinated. Hopefully COVID-19 vaccination implementation in our area can run well, including for the second dose," he mentioned.
